The Raja Chair features carved legs and front as well as decorative coconut wood inserts at the top. The charming chair is also design to offer comfortable support for both meditation and everyday usage.

The Raja Meditation Chair was designed by a long time practitioner of meditation who understood the need to sit comfortably while in contemplation. The front of the seat drops 3 inches in the middle allowing the feet to rest more comfortably below the knees. The back of the seat remains straight across to raise the hips above the legs. You can also cross the feet and ankles on the floor and allow the legs to rest naturally. You’ll also find the Raja’s back rest a great support for your back. The Raja Chair has short stylish arms that serve as armrest and handle to help getting up and down. These arms are designed not to interfere with the leg crossing.

The Raja Chair is both stylish and ecological. The chair is crafted in sturdy mango wood frame with a water-based finish and woven banana leaf seat and back. The mango wood is harvested after the mango trees have passed their commercial life leaving room for younger trees that would sustain the production of fruit and employment in the community. The cushions are filled with natural kapok. The 100% cotton covers are removable for washing.
