Lumi reaches at a rushing stream and is amazed as salmon surge upstream, determined and unrelenting.
 

The river never forgets where it came from.

Against the current,
the salmon climb,
not because the journey is easy,
but because something
more ancient than memory
calls them home.

Lumi watches
their shimmering persistence
break the surface,
again,
again,
again.
Each leap reaching
stretching backward and forward
in time.

The greatest adventures
are not measured
by how far we wander.

They are measured by what we carry back.

The forests,
the rain,
the songs,
the faces,
all gathered inside the traveler
until home is no longer a place left behind,
but a place
rebuilt within.
 

Reflection:

Adventure isn’t only about discovering new destinations; it’s also about finding our root where one truly belongs.
