Description

The 2027 Acadia Calendar features paintings by landscape artist Catherine Breer.

Known by the National Park Service as the crowned jewel of the North Atlantic Coast, Acadia is famous for its woodland, rocky shoreline, and rugged granite peaks shaped by glaciers. The area has long attracted writers and artists, dating back to the mid-1800s. Early conservationists worked hard to protect the land. In 1916, the area was first preserved as Sieur de Monts National Monument, and in 1919 it officially became Acadia National Park.

Catherine is also a frequent visitor to Acadia, and her artwork reflects her personal perspectives on the park’s iconic landmarks. As Catherine shares, “The natural beauty and diversity of Acadia never ceases to amaze me, and has always been an inspiration to me as an artist. To be part of the preservation of this magical place is both an honor and a privilege.”

In the 2027 editions of Acadia calendar, you’ll find images of such as Mt Desert, Jordan Pond, and Otter Cliff, presented in vivid colors and captured in just the right light. The tranquil settings allow viewers to immerse themselves in each scene and rekindle memories of past visits.
