“Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago,” as legendary investor Warren Buffett once said. In the same spirit, we can enjoy Acadia National Park today because earlier generations chose to protect them.
Before becoming a national park, Acadia was a summer destination known for its rugged coastline, forests, and scenic views. Artists and writers were among the frequent visitors. In the early 1900s, conservation efforts and generous support helped preserve this landscape for the future.
Artists has always been part of that legacy. They use their work to share Acadia’s natural beauty, draw environmental awareness, inspire appreciation and conservation. We are proud to be part of that tradition. In this section, you’ll find Maine artist Catherine Breer’s collection featuring Acadia’s iconic landmarks.
We invite you to journey with us. Perhaps you would take home a piece and help inspire care for our natural heritage.
